It seems I always start these posts with “can you believe it’s x month already?” Well I am going to do it again! It’s November and I am not fully ready for it. November is a special month for me, it’s my birthday month and the 1 year anniversary of this humble digital home of mine.
It’s also the start of the holidays, which here in the US kicks off with thanksgiving. I didn’t grow up celebrating it but I grew to love it. Not the questionable history behind it, but the idea of coming together for a day and taking a moment to be thankful. Whether you are doing a traditional family dinner or a Friendsgiving, here are some ideas of what to add to your thanksgiving table, to make this one extra special.

Serve Thanksgiving Table in Style
This is the time to break out of the everyday silverware and plates and choose something that is a bit more festive. Add gold utensils such as these, and add some candles with brass candle holders such as these. For plates I would keep it simple with an accent color such as forrest green, which is both festive and beautiful with the gold and brass tones.
Dress the Thanksgiving Table
This year I am all about simplicity, and a few accents to make the table decor pop. That’s why I am suggesting a white or cream tablecloth with a contrasting napkin or place mat. I linked to this place mat before because it’s so affordable and pretty.
