Home Picks for Fall: What to Buy in 2021
Welcome to the third and final week of my fall guide! This week we are focusing on my favorite home picks for the season. If you need a recap, I covered fashion here and beauty here. With the start of the holiday season just inches away, this is the perfect time to update your decor.
Side note: If you are in the market for new furniture, a little-known secret is that the ideal time to buy is October through December. This is the time of year when the biggest furniture sales occur. A lot of stores are liquidating their inventory, so amazing deals are up for grabs.

For some easy and inexpensive ways to turn your home into a cozy haven for fall, here are some of my picks!
Candles are the perfect mood setter—bonus if they’re pumpkin-themed. I love the fall but hate cheesy Halloween decor. That’s why I love the subtle seasonal nod these candles from Anthropologie create. I love this one as well! When it comes to actually lighting candles, this gorgeous cloche with matches from CB2 is not only functional, but it also helps create a sophisticated vignette.
Rather than overhauling your home for the holidays, opt for easy swaps like seasonal pillows and a cozy throw blanket. I love this beautifully knitted blanket, which adds wonderful warmth and texture to your couch, as well as these lovely plaid throw pillows. Plaid is always a good way to make your home feel holiday-ready without overdoing it.
Bringing elements of the fall foliage inside can be beautiful, but also tricky. Real plants are too high maintenance, and quality faux plants are often hard to find. But good news! I have done the work for you. This Etsy store has some nice options of impressive quality, which would look lovely paired with a nice vase like this one from Target.

One of the big reasons we love decorating our home for the fall is because it represents the comeback of quality time and get-togethers, and what better way to welcome your guests than with a cute seasonal welcome mat? This one from Etsy is cute without the kitsch.
