Peach Fuzz: Review of the Pantone Color of the year
Fresh of my latest trend report, I am here to address the peach fuzz elephant in the room. In case you missed it late last year, Pantone announced this year’s color would be none other than Peach Fuzz. It was described as “a velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind, and body.” The response was… well, mixed. As we see bolder and moodier tones take over the runways and interior design trends this year, the choice for the dusty peach seemed out of touch with the collective aesthetic.
While I tend to agree that Peach fuzz is not the obvious choice for the color of the year, there are still fun ways to incorporate it into your home, wardrobe, and beyond. The good news is that this shade is universally flattering and blends well with lots of color palettes so there are plenty of ways of making peach fuzz work for you.
Peach Fuzz in your Home
Peachy tones brighten walls and pair extremely well with contrasting navy tones and olive greens. It also looks beautiful as a backdrop to natural wood finishes, particularly walnut, and mahogany. Another way to add peachy tones to your home, without a high level of commitment, would be to add decor items such as accent pillows, candles and picture frames.
How to Wear Peach Fuzz
Peach is one of the most universally flattering colors on every skin tone. I would recommend choosing items that are close to exposed skin. Hats, sweaters, dress shirts and sandals are solid choices for ways to add peach fuzz into your wardrobe. Here are some ideas to get you started.
Peach tone Beauty Products that are the most Flattering
In beauty, peach is a great option for lipstick and blushes. If you have green or blue eyes, a peach eyeshadow will also be an nice way to highlight your eye color. I especially like adding peachy tones on make up routines for the winter and spring, as it makes our paler winter complexion, more colorful and bright. Here are a few of my favorite options in peach tones.
